"Throughout, an intense, string-heavy score by Douglas Cavanna and Xavier Caux combines with sound design that amplifies the scratching and scuttling of unseen legs, echoing the increasingly jangled nerves of both characters and audience."

"Douglas Cavanna and Xavier Caux (Double Danger) compose the music for Sébastien Vaniček's French horror film, infusing it with typical genre sounds to enhance the anxiety of the building's residents facing a spider invasion. Sustained textures and dissonances reflect a sense of paralysis in a suspenseful waiting situation, while at times, the strings mimic the crawling of insects."

Sébastien Vanicek (director of "Vermines")
"Regarding the music, we worked for several months with Douglas Cavanna and Xavier Caux solely on the artistic direction, without delving into the composition. We established a set of guidelines that had to be adhered to throughout the entire film. For instance, a complete prohibition on using percussion, as the threat posed by the spiders is invisible. It is discreet and light. However, their sheer number creates dissonance, and the violins go out of tune, deconstructing themselves. In addition, there are the deep and rusty sounds that bring out the urban aspect of the film."

Le Mag du Ciné

"Each shot is thoughtfully and energetically crafted to immerse the viewer in the same webbed cage where a diverse group of friends navigates, allowing for easy identification. The sonic work by Douglas Cavanna and Xavier Caux adds to the disruption of our reference points. The viewing experience is more active than ever, promising intense sensations once the prey is thrown into Picasso's arenas."
Watchbuddy
"A monster of French genre cinema. The end-of-year favorite with formidable tension and efficiency, accompanied by a solid pace. Completely unstoppable. One of the best horror films of recent years, with an exceptional soundtrack."
Report Magazine
"Between the visuals and the soundtrack, the viewer is transported into this survival horror film that is truly frightening, capable of inducing anxiety, paralysis, and unique sensations. The lingering tension is palpable, the moments of terror are effective, and the finale in the parking lot deserves to be seen."
