Double Danger is a duo of composers and producers based in Paris, emerged in 2023 through the collaboration of Xavier Caux and Douglas Cavanna. These self-taught musicians joined forces with the aim of transcending conventional and academic approaches to music composition. Their project seeks to push the boundaries, providing the works they support with an artistic experience beyond the usual norms.
The essence of Double Danger lies in the willingness to take risks, explore unexpected territories, and seek the uniqueness that propels a piece of art out of its comfort zone.
After making their mark with the acclaimed score for Vermines (Infested), the duo took their uncompromising approach to a new scale by composing the soundtrack for Evil Dead Burn, the latest chapter in the iconic Evil Dead franchise, produced by Ghost House Pictures, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Embracing the film's themes of grief, inheritance and possession, Double Danger crafted a visceral and unconventional score built around detuned double basses, tortured vocal performances and haunting choral textures, pushing their sonic identity further than ever before.
